I bought this used and it was not listed as a trap setting clamp so got it at a good deal even if it is not a real Newhouse. Is there a way to tell if it is a real or one of the later reproductions? Also, based on the measurements - is it a #5 or #6? Thanks, Jody

It is not a Newhouse clamp. It has too long of a neck, above the threads. The Newhouse clamps are short between the threads and the handle. It is a #6 size, possibly Herter's.

Thanks! I thought there was something about the threads but couldn’t remember.
