Illinois is introducing HB3518 that would decriminalize prostitution.
This state is on the rails of a crazy train!
Gonna be a whole lot of unwanted pregnancies and the visits to the abortion clinics are going to increase.

Just thinking about that makes me itch...

100% tax rate on prostitution and drugs pay off debt in a hurry. Increase in STD rates though I'm sure.

Maybe we could tax it and use that money for the education system. Maybe we don't need extra money for education because our gambling money goes there or is that the general fund. I don't know how much tax would be fair. Chicago wanted 12% for oil shale drilling or basically a land owners share of 1/8 part. Maybe the CBOT would like to kick in a share?
What better way to fleece the people traveling thru Illinois, get their gas tax, their play time tax and their lottery and boat money.
Maybe that will go the way of the regulated gardens in the backyard and the bill to stop one from pumping your own gas, lets hope.

well i doubt you will see more pregancies just because its legal doesnt mean people will insire to be a prosatute as for STDs it probably will stay the same as like the other two states its legal in and countries around the world it is only legal in brothels and empolyees must be checked on a regular basis also its the oldest profession in the world time for govt to make money off it just

Are they making prostitution legal or are they making it so only using a prostitute's services are a crime? Cause if it's the second one it would be similar to laws that make doing drugs not illegal, but make selling drugs a crime.

Hey, your never gonna get rid of it, so might as well get some tax money out of it...No one is forcing anyone to use a prostitute, and anyone that does is already doing it...if anything it might reduce the worst practices and abuse of street walkers... Don't see the problem guys.
