I used to have 15-20 on my neck. I'm a type 2 diabetic and wasn't taking very good care of myself. I finally decided to get serious and get it under control about 3 years ago. One day I realized my skin tags were gone. With a little research I found they can be a sign of diabetes. Not really an answer to your question but if you haven't had your A1C checked for a few years it might not hurt. It could save some serious problems later on.

Don't they make an ointment that will take them off like they do with warts? I'd check with your local druggist.

Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.

I just had some burned/frozen off my back and face. You're family practice doctor should be able to do this in his office.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

look up putting vinegar on a cotton ball and holding it over one with a band aide. its an acid. I over did it when I did mine and had a little burn mark not realizing vinegar could actually hurt me but it worked. Just follow the directions and you'll be fine. Good luck.

I had lots of them , who are we kidding I still have lots of them

I ha the DR cut a bunch off in 1999

the sound of scissors cutting skin near your ear it not a good one

basic procedure is go around cleaning them all with povidone-iodine then clean your small sharp scissors with alcohol and let dry , then pull out with a tweezers and snip as close to the skin as you can

hold a clean tissue on it till it stops bleeding , basically like a bad shaving cut.

now if your on thinners a silver nitrate pencil/stick like the vet uses when they cut too deep in a nail

none of this will be without pain but it doesn't hurt long

optional method , any one that annoys you twist till it hurts too much , then repeat when it stops , give it a few days they generally fall off like a scab if you stopped the blood flow to them with enough twisting , you are left with a little nub but not too bad.

if they annoy me now I mostly use the twist method , so I have gotten rid of most of the ones that touch my collar on a shirt.

if you cut , clean the skin and the tool , infections suck

If you can get a full twist on them, keep doing it until they dry up and fall off in a couple days. Otherwise, tie them off with fishing string and they will dry up and fall off.

There used to be these pen shaped things you could get from a drug store that could be activated to make them extremely cold, and then you could use it to freeze off warts. I imagine you can also use them for skin tags, or they have ones specifically for skin tags.

also on thinners , and if they are out of site and not bothering me , I leave them.

waxed dental floss , tie a knot synch it down is another option . works very much like banding does.

they don't have big blood flow so cut the blood flow and they die.

Small sharp scissors. Just nip them off. Takes a split second and only bleeds about like a cut with your shaving razor.

I missed that. Still I'd snip them or get the doc to do it when you go for an appointment. A little bandaid and they'll stop bleeding even on thinners. The remover stuff takes for ever and it hurts way worse IMO.

When you go to the Dr's office have him burn them off with nitrogen it only takes a few seconds and it's over with.

A razor blade and a pair of tweezers. That’s all the Doc does, ain’t any sense in paying him to do what I can do.
