Looks like you're set up to haul a boat?

Nice job!! Glad to see you have open water!! Central PA is pretty well locked up with ice. Streams are beginning to open up.

What for dbl longs are you using?

Very cool. What did you do for weight or anchor on your slide wire set?

I prefer the Blake & Lamb No.4, but they're hard to come by. I scoop them up when I see them, if I run out of those on any line. I use some sleepy creek No.3 coil springs, just got to watch because they are offset jaws. I don't like offset jaws if I can help it. Offset jaws will definitely teach you proper trap placement at the set. Yes, I've had some toe catches. LOL

In this case railroad plates worked well. Burlap sacks with rocks work, just wire it to the sack good. Stop by the mechanic shop, buy some old car rotors. Otherwise as long as its dead weight of equal amount or more weight of the beaver along with deep, deep water. They hold fine. If it were a production line, I'd reconsider slide rods I guess....... I just enjoy being out having the opportunity to study.

Also, don't cut the wire and leave your steel in the water! LOL
