I have been seeing my small covey I thought disappeared. I keep good habit bushing small sections so there is always different stages of vegetation growth. keep some Bare ground under sunflowers plantings, and also plant things like buckwheat among other things for the bees and leave it for wildlife.

beside planting and cover is there some feeder I can put out to help them along. My old rabbit club had mad feeders with corn in barrels for rabbits I figured maybe there is something similar Fer Quail. I know killing the predators helps. I have some young trappers that do that. Looking at some thermal optics to help some also Won't be a predator alive at night if I turn those boys loose with thermal.

I don't know your state laws on feeding game.
But where legal, supplemental feeding along with serious predator control has proven positive effect on bobwhite survival...especially in winter.

Predators quickly home in on stationary quail feeders, so the preferred method is to "chum" roads, trails, and openings with small grain mix like Hen Scratch. These small particles when applied with a spinner don't attract large animals but quail will find them.

It is a fact that 70% of bobwhites will die each year throughout their native range, whether hunted or not...they need all the help they can get!

Feral cats are bad on young game birds...all our quail are gone and most of the pheasants
