Ordered & received the Rix K3 scanner. It's 384 resolution. I bought it to compliment the thermal scope on the rifle, so I wouldn't have to hold the rifle up to scan.

Wife and I took a ride down to the hunting lease last night after dark to check the unit out. I was impressed. It will work perfectly for my intended use.

Drove by neighbor's field about 1/2 mile from my lease and there were 50 to 60 deer in his field of rye. We were on the highway with traffic and I didn't take a pic with the scanner.

Those things are very cool went coyote hunting with my cousin a few weeks ago and used his thermal monocular since I was the spotter. I was amazed watching the rabbits feeding in overgrown brush several hundred yards away. Eric

Those are the berries Swamp Wolf, my coyote hunting buddy has over $20K in thermal & night vision equip, so I'm a little spoiled at this point.

Handcalled him his first daylight coyote the other day, that dog was shot at 10 yds...So now we'll probably never get to sleep, Lol.

Swamp… the guy I was out with had a tripod for the gun, the tripod had a holder for his I-pad. His scope was feeding its vision to the iPad screen.
He swept the gun, standing back just watched the screen until he shouldered up and went on target.
Will your scope do that? I am not that familiar with the options on the different makes.

The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

I paid $899 directly from Rix in Texas. Figured better to deal direct than thru a dealer if I have any problems.

There are a couple on-line dealers at $799, but there may be shipping and tax added.

No tax...no shipping from Rix.

It really is surprising how many critters I missed seeing due to being behind the gun and tripod… One second you see the coyote, the next second he sees you. The headset up has let me see more targets farther out, resulting in more time pulling the trigger, instead of seeing them to late.

Thermal hunting without a scanner will kill.
Thermal hunting with a scanner will kill more!
Can’t believe I went a year or so before getting a scanner, what a game changer!!
