Well that advice can go both ways, lol

Idiots ride all sorts of wheels. Been on both sides of the fence and experienced some potential disasters. Recommend paying attention to your driving regardless of what vehicle your in.

Dont ride one if you are afraid of dying, thats a cold hard fact. I usually do a 450 mile one way trip every summer. See where i go this year.

Almost got kilt riding too close to the shoulder.Front tire got off in some cinders and everything went south after that.Took out two white angels(any one remember those),,broke 14 bones including one knee and ended up in someones yard with my back scraped bare from road rash with the gas tank of the bike on my chest leaking gas into my road rash back.That was the end of my Biking days.I have been on a few since,,,but wont buy one again.

Yep, I’m terrified of the motoring public, it’s amazing how often they just don’t see you, gotta be defensive on a bike, you will lose all interactions with cars and trucks.

I sincerely hope you have hundreds of hours of seat time on something other than that previously !

yes I do many dirtbikes a small Honda a street legal pit bike and a little sportster I have rode them all and fell confident to ride mine as soon as I get my endorsement this pic was taken years ago I'm much bigger and stronger now I can already hold up the bike and back it out of the garage

A few years ago, I was coming home from work. I'm on a 55 mph highway. I'm approaching my turn off. I have my blinker on. The next think I know a big Harley is going by me at close to 70 mph. He knows he can't get around me so he takes the ditch. He hit the ditch so had with the rear wheel it launched him off the bike onto the railroad. He got up and started screaming about me not having my blinker on. The car behind me said yes my blinkers were on. The pickup I was meeting said the same thing. The pickup driver in front of me thought he was going to hit him head on. The bike rider got his bike upright and left the seen. I thought he had a broken arm.

My point is it's not always the car or trucks fault.

The main reason motorcycles are supposed to drive in the third of the lane closest the centerline is for visibility. So that drivers see you in their side view mirrors and when you have cars in front and back of you.

I used to be a Team Oregon Motorcycle safety instructor.

When I did a lot of riding I always made sure that I could see the driver and the driver could see me. But then there are people out there that just don't like motorcycles.

I don't care for anyone who drives like an idiot in any vehicle. Crappy driving doesn't depend on how many tires are on a vehicle.

The dirt bike experience is valuable 30-06 ! No better experience then seat time as a youngster. Especially the bad experiences !

I ride antique motorcycles so am more aware of my surroundings than most bikers. No way are anybody my bikes are strong enough to do a wheelie!😆

I always hate it when somebody thinks it's ok to blow their grass out in the road while mowing their grass. Grass clippings in the road can be very dangerous for a biker.

In many states it's illegal to do so but often it's not enforced.
