Everytime someone posts these dinner threads, all I can think about is watching Hee Haw at my grandparents when I was a kid and Grandpa Jones answering when they asked "What's Fer Supper Grandpa???"

grin Good memories

I have a batch of cheap chicken thighs in the oven right now roasting in my big Dutch oven , when they are done I will pull them out and let cool till I get off work and I can pull them.

then the flour butter and trinity will hit that big cast iron and it should be something resembling a chicken gumbo when I finish

Whenever I steam a bunch of clams,,I save all the water (clam juice) from the clam steamer to use a the base for a nice clam chowder.
