Let us know how it works for you. My experience with the MK IV’s hasn’t been good. I would try again if they corrected the feeding issues, without the need to buy enhancement kits from Tandemcross, Volquartsen, and similar.

Buuuuttt, that looks like a fine pistol. wink

Similar to what I have. Mine is just the ruger standard. No Mark anything.

Very nice! I have one very similar - multiple grip sets. Looking for a talo short barrel fluted.

I have a mark 2 target I cut down to 4.2" and threaded. it's well used the last 24 years. picked up a like new in the box mark 2 government target model along with a single 10 from a local shop that got ahold of a collection.

They are used now I picked those up for my boys. I do like my Ruger hand guns at least the old ones. Don't like my dad's mark 3 trigger sucks and won't shoot half as well as my mark 2's. Hopefully they improved the mark 4s bback to mark 2 quality level. Sure looks nice.

I've got a Mark 2 target with the bull barrel, I really like and functions flawlessly with whatever I have fed it. Around here everybody has either a Mark 1 or a Mark 3, Mark 2s are fairly rare but my preferred model. Mark 3s will not fire without a clip in them, a serious design flaw in my opinion. I don't know much about the Mark 4s, I've seen them in the stores but never fired one.

I have the Hunter mark IV.model. It is not very picky on ammo but i found it really likes the super high velocity ammo. Browning BPR 100 rd paks the one with the squirrel on it. If you do a comparison to the CCI velocitor it has the same fps. I compared regular high velocity to the regular CCI mini mags. Shoots em accurately but not as good as the higher velocity stuff.i put a VQ trigger kit in mine as the trigger felt like pulling a cat off a screen door .now it breaks about 2.5 lb. I don’t think you will be happy with those viper.22. If you want a better one choose the Remington yellow jacket. Yes I know all .22 have preferences for ammo blah blah so and and mostly true but for this gun my experience has been the same with others who have tried the ammo I told ya. Must be the barrel length.i cannot tell if yours is a new gun? Most came with blued magazines.buy some of the nickel plated ones they are better. And if yours does some nose dive in the chamber it’s probably the magazine and there is a fix for that.one other thing when the gun becomes loose and you can wiggle it you need to replace the little rubber piece.ruger will send you a couple if you ask.but I use the VQ little jell ones and it locks up tight and they last…..no utube arm chair expert here all my experiences with the gun.first time out after sighting in I shot 3 big fox squirrels.one shot each no bang flop.anyway take what i say or throw it away as it’s free advice.

Yea that’s it. I think it’s made by Winchester and I am not a fan of Winchester.22 but if you get a good lot# of that should be good.have no experience with that bulk stuff .this is the jell pads to lock the gun up tight.the Ruger ones work good when new but they don’t,t last long.[Linked Image]

I just got a MarkIV Lite and it shoots great. I put a suppressor on it and a Vortex red dot, it’s a joy to shoot. Plinking is fun again.
