According to my information the sale had issues as far as how it was run with the computer system. So seeing results here may take some time if it happens. Not sure why you would have a smaller western sale that would coincide with Fallon? I would think it would affect the prices.

Usually Montana and Fallon sales don’t conflict. This year was an oddball because of the calendar. A bit difficult to explain but I will try.
There are only so many weekends in the prime fur selling season (February and March) and there are X number trapping associations that want to have sales. Over the years, they have worked out a system so the sales don’t conflict.
Traditionally it started out like this -
January - Glenn’s Ferry, Idaho Midweek of the second week of February - Colorado 2nd weekend - Utah 3rd weekend - Montana 4th weekend - Fallon 1st weekend March - Prineville, Oregon 2nd weekend - Glenn’s Ferry, Idaho 3rd weekend - north Idaho 4th weekend - Klamath falls, Oregon.
This year, the 4th weekend of February was early (22-23), so that meant Fallon because it was the 4th weekend. But since it was early, the dates were similar to what would normally be the 3rd weekend, which is Montana. Which resulted in the conflict.
I’m sure that doesn’t make sense to many of you, but I understand what I said and how the conflict happened.
In theory, Montana should have moved their sale to the 14-15, which is actual 3rd weekend but there might have been a conflict at the fairgrounds they use.
Any way, I’m not “talking “. LOL

Only it was a really big problem with the computer, and it took the entire night to get it figured out. Sounds like there should have been a "Dry run" before they used a new program for the sale.
