Did they get rid of the MN lifetime trapping liscense? I wanted to buy a couple lifetime licenses but trapping seems to have disappeared. There's a sports liscense but seems to only include fishing and small game.

The lifetime license I have includes trapping but you do have to ask for it every year when you renew.

Yes, it doesn't cost anything but your time.

You need to ask for the lifetime small game license and include trapping. Cost is the same. I got mine the first year they were made available and have already got my moneys worth.

Yes, you have to call or go in line to buy them. You can not get them at the local bait shop.

Here in Maine its a one time deal that you get a permanent license that does not have to get renewed.

When I got mine I had to fill out a form with my information on it which includes your age which dictates the cost of the lifetime license. If memory serves me correct, I had to call the DNR and they mailed me out a form. Last year a friend got the lifetime license and I'm positive he got the form off of the DNR website. Hope this helps.

Like maddog said you have to do it on line. As another said it's included in the lifetime small game license so it's a good deal for young people.

Should find everything there. Just did my daughter’s sports and deer license right before she turned 4! Happy trapping! ScottW

Yes, you can. I belive that holds true for most states too. This is the loophole that allows NR to trap here in MN.

I'm not exactly young but I'm planning on taking a massive pay cut in the next few years, I don't want the liscense expenses when I do.

In Maine if you move out of state once you have a Maine lifetime license you get to keep it.

Here you can if you move out of state, but anything that requires tags you have to pay the nonresident price for tags. I've known several hound hunters who bought their nonresident license before moving, because it is a draw for nonresident hound permits, but with a lifetime license you don't have to draw, you do have pay nonresident price for tags however.

NC lifetime does not include trapping. Never understood why.
