Yeeepp found a old singer sewing machine and has been hyper focused on it ever since. Spent a good three hours last night helping her fix on it. Had to Jerry rig the foot petal and a few other things but we got it working.....she's a lil upset with me since I can use it better her but

Yup, anyone that can sew is capable of saving money on clothing.

hard to make your own clothing for less than you can buy.

Material ain't is cheap as one thinks.
If one can get used or alternate materials cheap helps.

Or buy clothing from resell/second hand stores and modify to fit/taste.

Hopefully she don't get into quilting or embroidery work.

She's doing if for about the same reason I do reloading lol. Custom tailored to what she wants and she find its interesting and fun

Bought my wife a new Singer. She has three sewing machines already. This Singer sews leather.
Currently she is the goto for all of her friends to alter or fix anything clothing.
She will bring home 5 or 6 old time like dresses at a time to alter for the sweet 16 old threshers contest.

wait till you have to take out a loan for her new machine! mine likes to quilt (plus all other sewing). i've paid $7000 for a machine that only lasted 3 years! (don't buy a Husqvarna sewing machine!)
