Not sure if you know the price of plywood in a rural Alaskan town but it's a LOT. Would love the option to hoop them instead. Is there a good place to start? Maybe a video recommendation?

I use hoops. Here's a couple videos I found online.

Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

Hoops are easy to use and adjustable I’ve never had complaints on my beavers plus they are lighter than boards and can be shipped.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I absolutely use them for the reason you said. I have one board for anything too big for hoops. Pretty self explanatory how to use them [Linked Image]

I prefer boards, but have a bunch of hoops and would use them when I was serious about beaver Trapping and catching and putting up quite a few at a time. Hoops take up less room, you can hang them from the rafters or whatever to have them out of the way, plus they dry faster on hoops and you can take them off sooner to put another beaver on. I preferred non adjustable hoops and just have a variety of sizes. But a)I inherited something like 30-40 hoops in various sizes and b) I sew beaver on them instead of using hog reigns like so many do. If I was going to start from scratch with hoops I would use adjustable ones so I didnt need such an investment in so many of different sizes.

I use boards and hoops, and I have patterns all over the walls and door of my fur shed which I will nail them directly to also. I don't advise the last one unless you don't care about your shed

I tried them and dint like it, but didn’t give them much of a chance. Looks like you got it down pat there!
