Sold some Alabama fur at the Tn sale yesterday as follows. All fur was put up. All prices are before 4 percent commission was taken out.

5 bobcats at $60.50 avg (no saled 3 cats)
9 otter at $38.61 avg (4 sold otters were dmg)
24 coon at $3.30 avg. ( most XXl, no saled 16)
2 red fox at $55 each
2 grey fox at $35 each
1 skunk at $10
7 muskrat at $2.50 each
2 possum at $2 each

I had no beaver but was not impressed with put up or green beaver prices. My observations were $3-$5 on green beaver and $10-$12 on put up beaver.
I’m assuming my fox were bought for craft trade
6 buyers and 17 tables of fur/sellers

Great price on the reds! How many reds were in the sale, do you know? Did yours have feet on?

No idea on total numbers by species but most trappers had a few reds. So would guess 25 reds on sale. Saw some other fox sell for $27-$35 for sure, red and grey. None of my stuff had feet, just basic fur trade put up.

Cats with feet seemed to be a good deal higher than those without. I don't have the numbers yet, but the average on beaver seemed to be down overall. The Alabama fur above was very impressive and brought the best price overall. It was high quality and very well put up. Overall prices were pretty good with cats at the top of the pile. But just about everything had some kind of bid, with most that was rejected to be tanned and sold at other events. Wish we had had more trapper lots there, but much appreciate those that we had.
