Your bit about beAver snaring was very helpful when I was starting out. Although my dad taught me ALOT about trapping when I was young,, he wasn’t familiar with snaring

This is off topic, but does anyone know what happened to James Churchill and his son who also used to be featured in his articles as was Leo Hoeft. Being from Wisconsin I always read Jim's articles with great interest.

Being from Wisconsin I always read Jim's articles with great interest. I looked forward to his articles too.Loved reading on how they left southern Wisconsin and moved to northern Wisconsin.I believe I heard he died some years ago.If I remember his son worked for the Forest Service.Haven't heard anything about him.

I moved from the country where I hunted and trapped to the city to go to college back in 96. Turns out my first apartment "in the city" was just down from where Tom Miranda grew up hunting and trapping the outer belt of Reynoldsburg / Columbus Ohio. If you go through Columbus on I70 and cross 270 over there on the East side... thats his home stomping grounds for coon and muskrats etc as a kid. He turned it from that into what he did and thats pretty neat b/c its not like he grew up in Yellowstone or something ya know. A real something from nothing story. Very nice. Thanks
