My first purchase from a supplier was just north of where yours was. Big Dan's dad had a trapping supply biz just outside of Gypsum and he'd let us youngins kick tires and handle traps as much as we wanted just so he had someone to talk to. It was a great relationship and we got to where we'd spend about half our fur checks b4 we left when the buyer came by his place.

Tom Florin , was a vendor at the D10 rondy and trappers education field day.
I think I bough 3 1.75 and 3 DPs so that we would have a little something to play with.
I made trips to his garage in Stoughton a few more times to get more.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Midwest trappers supply-La Cresent MN in about 1976. There's a blast from the past, Ken B, he watched me checking rat traps along a creek, he had a fox set there with a big red in the trap. Made a detour around it and a few years later said he knew I was honest as that was 100 dollar bill bouncing around. Good guy and pretty good trapper.

Ezra Vincent out of Chippewa Falls, WI in 1967. He also bought fur.
57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

Jerry Nelson was Midwest trappers supply I believe.Ken Buege I would be guessing but maybe root river trappers supply.River city bait and tackle had a nice trappers supply and bought tons of fur.At least 6 businesses that bought fur or sold traps within 10 miles of each other.

Necina was one of the early ones. Bought my 1st dozen Victor 1.5 coils from Necina in late 70s.

Trapper Arts I think. Besides a few cage traps from the local co-op. Dad ran a long line during the fur boom in the 70s and 80s so I had a bunch of stuff I could use as long as he didn't find out.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

I doubt it was my first, but the first I remember came from Ludy Sheda. He was quite a character and wouldn't have done well on the internet.
I have nothing clever to put here.
