I purchased a bottle of muskrat lure from E. J. Dailey for $1.00 at the Pennsylvania Trappers Association convention in 1961.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Me and one of my brothers and two neighbor kids split the cost of two dozen Victor 110s from mowing jobs. Traps were bought at Hortons Hardware in Tipton, In. in 77 or 78. A couple of weeks in season with very little luck and lots of wet feet they all sold out to me. By the end of first season, I had paid them back bought more traps and owned some waders. Best of times!

My brother and I each received a dozen Victor 1.5 long springs for Christmas around 1970.
My first trapping-related purchase was some clear white pine boards from a local lumber supplier.
I took them to the school wood shop and made stretcher boards out of them. I remember kids asking me what the mini-surfboards were for.
Eh...wot?

I started trapping Muskrats with a few old long springs that were hanging out in the barn since I was born. The first thing I actually bought for trapping was a 110 Conibear that I think I paid 89 cents for at the local Feed Store.I was sure proud of that trap and it opened up a whole new world of Muskrat trapping for me.

My first trapping purchase was from Dan Reiff Sporting Goods in Lima, Ohio (Now out of business). Afterwards I'd order supplies thru the mail from Hawbakers & Minnesota Trapline Products.

A local hardware store sold me two 330's to catch a beaver. Fur buyer gave me some Backbreaker. You guys taught me most of what I know. Retired from trapping now.
