Nice fish! I wish Alaska had more fish like that, all we have are pike.

Don't you have salmon or steelhead?

On the coasts we do, most salmon fishing on the rivers have been closed for quite a while.

We have both. We also have halibut, rockfish, all kinds of salmon, rainbow trout, lake trout, cod, arctic grayling, and Dolly Varden to name a few.

The state pays for the scalp, which is the skin off the top of the head and a 2 inch strip of skin down the back, and the tail.
They used to want the head skin only but they had issues with people faking them.

I would think a skull would eliminate that problem. But I don’t live in Australia!

Are the sharks good to eat, or do you release them?

I was shed hunting In a woods and I notice something running and it was two possums so I grabbed the one. The only reason he got released unharmed is cause I didn’t have anything to dispatch him with

Pretty easy if your In a woods that dosnt have alot of brush. There was two but the other one kept biting my boot and trying to bite my hand when I grabbed him. The big guy in the pic just kinda sat there and played dead when I grabbed him. They were eating on the rotten guts of a dead coon

Pretty cool. I once saw a marten in the woods. It was sitting about 15 feet high watching me. People say it is rare to spot one in the wild, so it made that much more interesting. Pretty cute little things aren’t they?
