I found one of these in an old farm dump years ago The handle was rotted a bit so I replaced it And It still is a nice item to have Anyone have any info or input on it ?

Lugnut Thanks I had seen that And it has some interesting tidbits of info about the history of the company Because of my family helping the neighbors and them helping us with butchering during the winter I have a fascination with the old time country butchering Hog Scrappers knives any style or brand meat cleavers sausage stuffers Old brass and copper pans and iron kettles Scalding troughs are alle things that remind me of those days And my favorite memory was all of us gathering around the scrapple kettle at the end of the day and getting a taste of this years scrapple Most of the farm work in those days was just more hard work But I always felt
butchering was like a festival or party A time to count your blessings and store up your supplies for the up coming season And if all went well you could brighten someone else's day by sharing something that you may have gotten more than you expected so you gave a bit to someone less fortunate. Much of my love for the traditions that make those times spent together The willingness for e each one to do their best to finish the job And those old time tools where often hard to come by And their value was in having them at the ready when needed
