With the help from articotter (from TM) giving me some measurements for the wood pieces, I got a good start with making it back to life. I still have some carving and whitling to do etc. I found a piece of ready rod for the bolt that does through stock to hold stock to the block. Been an interesting day and am excited to use the little fellow.

I did go out and shoot it this morning and really is a fine shooting gun to my surprise. Is in my dad's family with 7 boys Luckly it survived as long as it did.

Not perfect by any means but will be better than what it looked like before. Maybe someday I could actually find the wood parts for this gun.

Thanks again for the bother very much appreciated.

I was really surprised how well it fired and shoot. I'm looking forward to putting it back in use which will be mostly for trapping use.

I am not an expert when it comes to refinishing something that is much better But some times I surprise myself and at least have something that is now better than what I started with And once in a while I really hit the jack pot I end up pleased with my final result You are at least back in business with what you started with and with
some thought you might continue to make some more progress Good luck and way to go on saving an old times single shotgun
