Wife buys it online somewhere. Our two Siamese cats really like it. It smells like some sort of mint.

I bought some of the berries or what ever they are, when it was a thing several years back. Ground them in one cheap little coffee grinders. Gave some to my daughter to test on her cats. One of the older ones gave it a sniff walked away. Other older played with it bit then seemed to loose interest. Younger immediately interested sniffed up big hit like it was coke. Got goofy made several hot laps around the house. Then passed out on table like a whino. My daughter called me laughing sent me this picture. Pretty sure I posted it back then. Not always having a cat tag I can't say I have given it a fair test in field. Maybe now that I have couple cell cameras should revisit that? ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/03/full-1002-251111-1000001017.jpg) Mac

My understanding is a bug gets into the vine and the vine reacts to it creating the lumps that are the source of the product we are looking for. If you have the vine and not the pest it might not work.

Silvervine is still around. You can find it on line or sometimes in the pet stores. Cats are still reacting to it, and trappers are still misunderstanding it. Are you still using it regularly? I seem to remember you saying alcohol based preservatives or ingredients would neutralize it. I always wanted to get some and play with it, but haven’t done it
