Has anyone sent snowshoe hare to be tanned at Moyles or somewhere similar? Some of the pelts (assuming the ones that are beginning to molt) have hair falling out in clumps, down to bare skin while still on the carcass. I would not send these individuals, but for the ones that do not have fur falling out aggressively (they still lose fur easily, like all rabbits) will they tan well and hold their fur through the tanning process? Or is it a lost cause to try?
