Ide rather be shot rather than injected or fried if I had the choice.
Don't really understand you guys who want to have someone beat to death, dead is dead, just get it over with. Irs about inflicting pain on him as he inflicted on his victim. Pretty easy to understand.

I think it was Utah that put in the heavy lifting on research and setting up the modern firing squad
I think they use 5 30 cal rifles with volunteers
there is historical context that was never challenged like lethal injection , it has been used and working for more than 100 years and it has no issues with drugs
and really the hazard of blood everywhere is mostly contained and ammonia and a hose and it is easily dealt with
even with only 3 shooter you have a 200% safety margin that it will be instant.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Ronnie Lee Gardiner in 2010 was the last one killed by firing squad in Utah. Five anonymous peace officers with 30-30's . Four live rounds. One non-lethal wax load. Twenty five feet strapped in a chair with a hood and a white target over his heart.
United we stand.

=Donnersurvivor Do you have kids if your kids or loves one was painfully and brutally murdered your telling me you would only want the person that made them suffer in fear and pain to get a quick clean death and not get just a small case ot the pain and fear they inflicted? If so your a bigger man than I am. Myself I would want to inflicted lots of pain and fear to the point of killing them and bringing them back and doing it again over months.
But That's just me and I have had people screw up and kill one of my kids. The only reason that one is alive is it was not an intentional act. Yes, I would just want them dead, as quickly and efficiently as possible. I don't know that it makes me a "bigger man" I just don't see the allure to prolonging their life and I don't see the allure to torture, just end it.

Don't really understand you guys who want to have someone beat to death, dead is dead, just get it over with. I think giving the convicted criminal a quick, relatively painless death is best too. I think most violent felonies and many other felonies, should be punished with a quick death. There's no recidivism or gene and nurture passing that way. People need culled too. Keith
