Doesn't take much convincing to move the top of a tree, the super heavy lines are for rigging (catching and lowering tree pieces). On the rare occasion we have a tree by the ocean buffer or a unit boundary that can't be jacked into the unit, someone will run up and hang a section of haywire and we use that to give it some tension

Trapper Dahlgren- I am on the far west side...just north of1-90 where it crosses the Mississippi.

Thanks for the offer but shipping would probably be prohibitive. Talked to my son and he says he has some rope and a winch line that should do it. I have gotten a few good tips plus the trees are on the small side so I think I will be okay.

Thanks again!

Yep I follow the guys from Alaska on the Wilderness trapping page. There have been several threads over the years talking about the kits they carry with them. They Talk about a maasdam continuous puller (Rope along as they call it) and the lengths of rope they carry with them. Eventually I bought one and a few lengths of rope, 100' 1/2 and 200' 1/2 also some soft shackles and aluminum pulleys. Carry it in the truck and side by side. So far I have used it to pull a stuck side by side out.

they get 160 for the puller and 100 feet of rope , for 200 you get 200 feet of rope and the puller

that seems like a no brainer
https://www.wesspur.com/RIG201K-maasdam-continuous-rope-puller-kit
you can't buy 100 feet of the rope alone for 40 dollars and it gives you a lot more flexibility

I have looked at those and just never pulled the trigger I can admit there were a few times where it would have been very handy

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
