Mast #6 - sterling fur may still carry it. This stuff will give a buzzard the dry heaves.

Carmen canine call is potent also.

That rotten crap Uncle BB sent to prank me and I gave it to you. That was rotten, rancid and anything else a person can think of to make them gag.

Absolutely! Catch’em BEFORE they roll and make sure the scent is below ground level! I’ve tested and used on my line 6 of the aforementioned lures and I never had a rolling concern!!! One was a top performer for some years but all caught coyote and fox.

Yes that stuff is the Dope! Doesn’t freeze either and nothing was ever added!

And it lasts!

Get a good whiff of the original, and you’ll be smelling it all day! Just hangs up there in the sinus.

A rolling response is better than no response.

And sometimes it’s the only way to get a response. One more tool in the box.

According to some real data, collected by old Government trappers (men that I trust), the top three attractants are Anise, Beaver Castor, and Skunk.

So a castor base, spiked with anise and a touch of skunk.... covers the trifecta... grin

Canine call has at least withstood a lot of cycles over the years and it’s still around, so there is that level of strength. grin

Exactly!

That stuff is next level. Skunky lures are not even in the same league as sun-rendered horse hoof liquid.

I'll NEVER...EVER...make or use that mess again......and I have a very strong stomach....rotten smells have little effect on me...but that crap is too much.

A strong scent produces better results in attracting them although excessive scent application is unnecessary. The "nastier" type lures do a good job of attracting prey according to many trappers. Multiple sources indicate positive effects when muskrat or beaver castor odor combines with additional scents containing skunk. Your success in trapping depends heavily on the trapping area and its best-suited scents.

Ogorman had a spiked ldc that they would not ship in warm weather.
It was my top lure over canine call live trapping fox . Powder River was no 3.
It actually had kind of a burning sweat smell to me.
Cought plenty of coyotes as well.

Fishercat. Strongest lure I've smelled. Have a jar on the porch. This warm spell has me smelling it on the other porch.
