Came home, and cam was complaining about his legs hurting. He went to his room, I looked at his mom and said watch this, I bet his legs don't hurt too bad. I yelled, he came and I said want to walk to the neighbors and go fishing! He jumpes and spun around said heck ya, and went and got his bag..

Spent about an hour caught a few fish. Took some pictures of the bigger ones. [Linked Image]
I caught one and he had to sneak up beside me.

Cam removed his tape measure, but for size that's my size 11 shoe

Very nice. Wish I could go fishing but the lakes still have a bunch of rotten ice on em. Might see if the tides are right later but I think the ocean fish are still in their winter hidey holes.

Looks like a great day!

My boy hated getting up any earlier than necessary. I noticed early on that if we planned s morning fishin trip he was waitin for me in the kitchen no matter how early I got up LOL.

Lefty fishing and baseball. This boy changes his tune quick. Actually he sat on the bank for about 15 minutes yesterday, I said you done. He said nope just taking it all in, with the weather sunsetting and quiet
.. I told him take all this in when you can and remember it because life tends to get in the way and days like this are limited.

Salem my boy never played much baseball but we did notice many times he would be all banged up and sore so when he'd complain we'd mention that maybe we should skip next weekends rodeo.

No dice- whatever was hurtin was instantly better LOL.

those are some slabs

so to skin or not to skin off that is the question !

if you haven't fried a crappie skin on , head off , gut out ,scaled , cut a few slits about an inch apart with a bit of cajun seasoning on it , some one tole me about that here last year it works great on the smaller ones and you get more meat

I am a big fan of skin on scaled crappie for the big ones that is some fine eating
