I was diagnosed with A-fib in 2007. Somewhat managed it with meds until 2014 when I had an ablation. I am 10+ years down the road and have not had any reoccurrence. Nice regular sinus rhythm ever since the ablation and not taking any of the meds or blood thinners either. Here is a link to a thread I posted shortly after the ablation. I hope it will give you some insights...... Goodbye A-Fib - I Hope

Not sure when I was diagnosed with A-Fib, probably about 2018, I take Meds, have not had any major problems since.

I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I’ve had a few brief episodes since my open heart surgery February 27. I’m going in for a holter monitor tomorrow morning.
Hopefully it clears up on its own before too long.

Yes, we get them every summer, usually after Perch and Walleyes.

I got it in October. Doc gave me solatol, but it didn't work, so going in for the zap.. Let us know how that goes. My doctor told me that could be one possible treatment for me if it doesn’t go away on its own. I’m already on something to regulate the rhythm and beta blockers since surgery.

I've had AFIB for about 10 years. Prior to that I had an atrial flutter. They gave me two choices to cure the flutter. One was to stop my heart and restart it. The drawback to that procedure was they said it might last only 6 months or could last 10 years. But, would eventually return. The other option was an ablation which would be 95% effective to never return. I elected the ablation and it has never come back.
I still have AFIB which I take Eliquis for. The ablation for AFIB is a more complicated procedure than the flutter procedure was because the flutter involved the right atrium of your heart. The AFIB involves the left atrium and takes longer and is more complicated.
There is another procedure for AFIB which is called Watchman. You may have seen it advertised on TV. It involves implanting a device in the heart's left atrial appendage preventing blood clots from forming. The advantage is it reduces the risk of stroke compared to blood thinners and is a permanent solution to stroke prevention.

Yup, I’ve got what is called Sinoatrial node Dysfunction which is sort of like A-fib but different chamber. I’ve had a pacemaker since 2017 and take 37.5mg Metoprolol plus low-dose aspirin. I just had an in-office device check and she told me that my pacemaker is only working 5% or less for my heart which is super!

ol' dad Do you happen to have a link to this? I'm having trouble finding anything. This is the only thing that I could find. "Experts from Yale University have discovered an alarming syndrome linked to the mRNA Covid vaccines. The previously-unknown condition - dubbed 'post-vaccination syndrome' - appears to cause brain fog, dizziness, tinnitus and exercise intolerance."

I don't think they want to admit to some of these accusations.

I was talking with the nurse here getting me ready, and she said the cardioversions have tripled since covid.

Here is the article that I read regarding the link between covid vaccine and Myocarditis. https://www.oann.com/newsroom/yale-...istinct-biological-changes-to-ones-body/My other source is from a close family member who is being treated right now for A-Fib type symptoms. Shes 44 years old, in good health, and no family history. Her nurse practitioner told her last week that there has been an influx of patients with similar symptoms and that they believe it is COVID vaccine related. ol' dad
