I'm selling my house on the lake. So, I'm going to sell my boat which is a 1999 Lund Fisherman 18' with a 115 Yamaha and a 10 HP Mariner. It has a new Garmin Striker CV7 depth finder. It's in excellent shape. Anybody have an idea of what I should ask for it? I see dealers asking crazy prices for used boats in the last few years.

15k
I see them listed at dealers for 16k
to get into anything new in even half the boat it will run 16K

my dad sold his 1990 Lund tyee 1750 in 2013 for 10k and it had a Evenrude 88spl

those Yamahas are nice motors

between inflation and boat values 15K wouldn't be unreasonable and it leaves you room to go down if needed

not sure that electronics do much to sell a boat but it doesn't hurt , he had his rigged to run on lake Michigan for salmon and trout

17.5 and 18 are right in that sweet spot where they fit in a garage especially with a swing tongue and that helps keep their price up because they need no slip or special storage they can be kept in most garages and used and put away easily but will also take the bigger water like Michigan , Green bay on nice days and smaller lakes any day , also not an issue on Winnebago where it can really blow up in a hurry

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

The Lund Fisherman is similar to the Tyee. The Yamaha is a great motor, very trouble free. I've been out in some pretty rough water on our large lake and it handles it well. Thanks for the comments.

There's a 2002 Lund 1750 Fisherman w/ a 115 Merc for sale for $12,900 on Walleye Central and it hasn't sold.

This is the closest thing I could find to your boat.

we got caught out in a blow up on Lake Michigan off wind point Racine , had to swap motor cables to the other battery to get the main engine started while we kept trolling with the kicker , once we got the main motor started we switched over and got under way.

it blew up fast and we went from trolling in 1-3 to making our way back in 6-8 foot waves in that 1750 tyee that was probably about 1993-1994

they are a very capable boat

and right in that sweet spot for size

very shortly after that we added a battery switch so we could go to either battery easily , it was the loran , radio and all the other stuff on the battery with the main engine and the kicker and trolling motor on the other battery if I recall I don't remember exactly what happened 30 years ago but I remember that trip.

Dad sold that boat and bought a 23 foot I can't recall the brand right now , fiberglass boat which is more like 30 with the motor platform and bow pulpit although it looks tiny in the 50 foot slip he has it in right now.
he had a 35 foot slip for years then he met a couple who had a sail boat but sold it they are in their 80s now so he rents the slip they own with their waterfront condo in Racine.
Because he basically has a key to their building for everything but the condo door they wanted someone they could trust and he gets a great real on it as well.

Just my opinion, markets pretty saturated right now. 9-10k if you want a quick sale. 15k if you dont.
