A Canine female in "Heat"! You Don't want that Lure/Bait to STINKY at your set. I've had Canine's "Roll" on my sets because the Lure was too RIPE! Sprung dirt-hole set traps with Red Hair in them. Huummm? I got to thinking and Red Fox feet have Black fur on them. Huummmm.......I Finally came to the Conclusion that the "Reds", were Rolling on the set (because the bait was too stinky) and springing the trap with their bodies? (There you go guys. Another Trap-Shy Canine!). Hense the Red Hair in the sprung trap. I don't use a lot of Lures anymore because I've switched to Blind/Trail sets with a drag. Faster, Easier......In my opinion. Every Critter in the area Runs those Trails nightly! No Bait. No Lure! No Problem. Remember folks......Location, Location, Location! If you're in the correct "Location"? What do you Need a Lure for?
