People are loving the book coonchaser, he's been on several radio programs, featured in several newspapers, and had a book signing at the local library the other day.
The amount of people that showed up blew me away, the librarian said the biggest turnout ever for that kind of event.
I'm happy the ablation worked well for him, it gave him a new lease on life really.

Know at least a dozen now in my age 65 group you have had it and thankfully all have been gotten back to good heart beat health some where along the treatment progression starting with medication, shock inversion, ablation to pace maker. Ablation is working for me but each still includes ongoing meds. My cousin is cardiac ablation specialist and has been doing them for 30+ yrs equally pre and post covid. More cases may be being diagnosed post covid because covid awareness many individuals into contact with doctors and health care that won’t have otherwise. I hope things work out for you as well odds are in your favor. Not many things are as worrisome as heart health issues. By

I had a good case of it in my late 20's brought me to the floor...... doctors all said stress related. Fast forward some 30 years later and it hit me a few times but all tolerable. Then it hit me real hard again -- you could literally see my shirt move and see my chest hammering -- 8 hours in the ER , some meds didn't help. Then they brought in the emergency cart and were getting ready to shock me and it stopped before they got the paddles out. Then four years ago, it brought me to the floor and hurt like crazy...... went to the ER and I was thumping at 220, They hit me with some drugs through an IV. Again they were getting ready to shock me ....while waiting for an anesthesiologists, they hit me with more drugs --- felt like the end of a roller coaster ride. Felt like I was going forward but was held back somehow. Later, when I described that to my cardiologist he figured they stopped my heart for a second using the drugs they did.
Anyway to make a long story done....did Metoprolol and Flecainide for a bit -- then did an ablation and I have been good since. Only on a blood thinner now. The worst part was tired for a few days and itchiness from the hair growing back on my chest

What do you experience when you are having an Afib episode? Mine was a flutter in my chest. Didn't hurt but it did take my breath away at times.

I used to have dizzy spells whenever I drank coffee. Or, I had trouble sleeping because my heart would be racing. That only happened when I drank coffee which I loved. I stopped drinking coffee and everything is fine; no more symptoms or episodes. But, when I have my yearly physical they always ask if I'm still on blood thinners because I have irregular heartbeat, which is what Afib is.
I was on Warfarin, but I like to eat lots of green veggies like broccoli, asparagus, brussel sprouts, spinach, etc. One time I would go in have my blood checked and it would be too thin. So, I'd cut down on the veggies and the next time I'd go in and my blood would be too thick. I was going in weekly for blood checks. I found out that Eliquis wasn't affected by Vitamin K as a blood thinner. Medicare won't cover Eliquis, only cover Warfarin due to the cost. I checked the cost of Eliquis if I bought it. It was a little over $700 for a 90 day supply. I checked with the VA and found I could get it through them for $33 for a 90 day supply. I switched to Eliquis through them and it has worked out real well.

Just got the results from 48 hours with the Holter Monitor, no AFIB during that period.
Had my post-op visit with the cardiologist and all good, don't half to see him again unless there's a problem.
Holter Monitor results were interesting, max rate 127 BPM. I've been walking about a mile a day and that's when I hit that peak rate.
Minimum BPM was 53 at 3:04 AM. I didn't realize it got that low while sleeping.
It must be normal, cardiologist wasn't concerned.
Eh...wot?

" No a-fib during that period"
INTERESTING..... I purchased an Apple Watch after Mark June had a thread on just this subject. My doctor refused to even look at it let alone the information gained on it. Insisted on a monitor. I refused to wear the monitor since I have a pace maker and it shows a-fib. My Apple Watch shows that I am in A-Fib at various times and far enough apart that the monitor may not show my episodes with A-Fib.
First thing I asked my NEW doctor when getting a new pacer was his thoughts on an Apple Watch. He was not opposed to it but my old pacer showed I wasn't in A-Fib much if at all.
I am not recommending that dissing a doctor because of his feelings on Apple Watches. Do not take my opinion as a recommendation.
Along with monitoring my heart I use it for my sleep since I use a C-Pap and about to not need it any more.

A while after getting an mRNA vaccine, my mom went into AFib (along with chronic fatigue). The same thing happened to my brother, my aunt, and numerous other people we all know. In recent research they were shocked to find leftover spike proteins still existent in the cells of mRNA vaccine recipients after two years. I believe those were supposed to be gone shortly after the shots. They are now curious about the long lasting effects that could cause.
We will soon hear much more about long term issues from the newer vaccines. The pharmaceutical companies seem to be running lower on power along with credibility.

Afib is caused by irregular or duplicate electrical signal to the heart beat causing irregular heartbeat rhythm. Like electricity can leak between terminals of a dirty battery. How this could ever be caused vaccine proteins left in your blood stream is implausible to any cardiologist I know. Or how ablation of secondary signal pathways or a pacemaker can rectify it.

Doctors are seeing a lot more cases of A-fib, Myocarditis, and other heart related issues. They are linking it to the covid vaccine & boosters. Yale just put out a study last week with the same conclusions.
ol' dad I've had episodes for 15 years Only one short time since 2021 so No increase for me since Covid Did you take the jab?
