I know some of you use ATVs for running traps. I struggled for a while securing things to the rack (before I started trapping). I'd rush securing things then have to stop and pick things back up when they fal loff.

I've had one bucket strapped on like this for a while and been pleased with it. Today I strapped down 3 buckets. If you wnat to haul buckets around then carry them with you, of course you can put a bucket inside the strapped down bucket and lift it right out.

I use a hand grinder to melt a couple slots on each side, just above the bottom. Then lace a strap through so it goes around the bars. [Linked Image]

The second strap on top is just the extra laced through so I can pull it tight.

I'm curious what the rest of you do?

I would go plywood with buckets and fender washers down through the plywood , the drop maiting bucket into the ones screwed down.

change out the config from ice fishing to trapping to wood cutting with 4 bolts that hold down the plywood

that is just my idea , I have not used it on a 4 wheeler myself

the one at the farm had bolts holding down the square milk crates but it left just 2 crates as the option

you could also screw down ammo cans as an option to get more storage out of the weather

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Before we had wheeled recycling carts we had heavy plastic bins. I have couple of them and they bolt to atv rack pretty nicely.

I scratched my head how to attach the rear rack on my Polaris. Ended up using heavy duty zip ties. If one breaks just get a new one.

If you use the rectangular buckets that cat litter comes in, you will save yourself a lot of space since they fit together side by side without wasting space.

Buckets fit into these baskets just fine. I have the one on the back that extends past my rack and one on the front. Would like to have a fully enclosed box but stuck with these for now.

Lifetime of buckets makes it more practical to use crates or boxes to put the buckets in.

I like that extruded rack. I am thinking of something like that for my ATV.
