Moose is a close second to eating beef. I shot two last season, two the season before. I’m guessing a three year old bull will net you 300 # of meat. Cost about $300 US to butcher, vacuum seal , and freeze a moose. ( you pay by the animal, not by the pound ) Ground moose makes a good burger….I don’t care for a venison hamburger. My wife and I killed 19 deer last season, kept one for jerky, donated the rest of them.

The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

Time to buy a smoker and start cranking out some deer ham and sausage.I bought 4 whole bone in ribs and 2 whole new yorks at christmas all went for 12 -13 ounce steaks. I was buying whole ribs for 4.99 a pound for choice, xmas is the time to load up on steaks.
