I just bought the cheapest heavy st croix rod at Cabela's and a medium priced bait caster at fleetfarm


The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

I don't take my fishing that serious. I enjoy it but I've been known to hit a lake or river or pond with a 12' cane pole and some crawlers. I usually use old Zebco or Johnson spincast reels I've salvaged and repaired.
