Not like its the first time seen or heard thunder and lightning while it snowing. Can't say been whole lot of times. Also this started as rain this morning. Turned to big sloppy snow flakes. Now its more like large sleet or very small hail?? Add the thunder and lighting..Goofy weather forsure. And what's with Small dogs and scared of thunder?? Let the dog out to pee. Big rumble of thunder little dog is back to the door shaking like some kinda vibratory. Big dogs wandering around sloppy snow falling dont even flinch. Little dog definitely easier scared by loud noises. Freaks out when garbage truck slams carts around.

Has been several years but remember had that before. We also got a worthless soup hound that is gun shy.

Can’t say that I have every heard lightning and thunder at the same time either. They're nearly synonymous. I've been near trees struck by lightning. You can definitely hear it.

Yup, lightening, thunder, and wet snow ... Electric has temporarily been out 4 times now, correction 5 times. Hoping the wet snow doesn't take the lines down.

We had some thundersnow a week or so ago. One time about 30 or so years back I was Elk hunting the Uncompahgre Plateau in Colorado. I was just over 9000 feet and we got a storm. There was a bit of snow already down, plus the temp was just above freezing, so fog had formed. Between the fog and heavy snow falling I couldn't see far in the dark timber......but every time the lightning cracked it would about blind a fellow. You'd have to wait a few seconds each time so your sight would come back. Sorta like when someone hits you with a flashlight when your eyes are used to the dark.
