Anyone have any of the Dans waders? I have had a pair of the hip waders for about 10 years and just ordered a new pair. While on the website I seen they have chest waders to, I’m needing a new pair of these also but thought I would look for reviews as $350 is a lot more than I normally spend on waders.

Dans use to have bib overall waders. THey were really a hip wadder. THey were great.
Now Dans waders are good but the crotch is at your knees. You have problems stepping over a sweetgum ball. Not sure who the seamtress is. The bibs were great I have no idea what they quit making them and started making the sorry chest waders they have now.
I an going to gator waders

They just had a thread about Dan's Hip boots...a wee bit ago on here

It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

I’ve had my first pair 2 1/2 years-very hard use so I bought a new pair.No telling how long I could have got out of first pair.I just noticed that on my old pair the membrane is kind of separating but aren’t leaking. If you order go big on feet and waist-height.

Im on my second pair. First pair lasted 5 years till I lost the sole of one of the boots. Only a slight weeping leak in all that time.

I used my new pair at be lodge through the ice a few weeks ago. I like em so far. They’re not easy on/off compared to others, my foot get hung up at the boot. Easier to unzip the legs and pull each foot into the boot. With a belt through the loops they still seem to slide down, maybe due to the slick inside. The tough liner is removable for washing, but I’ll probably never do that.
If it wasn’t for our $350 per year “wellness benefit” at work, I wouldn’t have bought them. They were just under $700 CAD after shipping and duty.
But they are nice!
