I have used a variety of different style of beaver traps in my lifetime but finally tried a dogless style this past week on a creek I had trapped rats and mink earlier in the season. I had ignored the beaver sign at this location until this week. I set 2 BGs and a Bridger no.5 dogless at baitstick and castor sets and caught a 46lb. in a BG. Six days later
the 2nd one of the pair stepped into the Bridger dogless I set for a hindfoot with rebar drowner. Might have to add a few more to my collection of traps.

Great beaver traps. Very strong springs! I couldn't set them over my knee so I started taking a set of springs out even then they are still plenty for beaver.
