Most farmers around me have gone to Kubotas. Field engineer from Japan was out with us this summer evaluating the performance when used in field. Only company I have ever seen worried about real world performance in the field. Our local dealer who is also a Case and New Holland dealer said maintenance/repairs on Kubotas are much less of an issue over Cases and New Hollands. THis was from the dealer who sells and fixes them. Old Case 1845 with diesels are known as workhorses and reliable. Old Bobcats like 763 are also known for reliablity - they have Kubota diesels in them....... For new equipment, I would go with Kubota or Bobcats. I have never heard of big issues with Bobcats either.

I have a used Bobcat S185. If I had it to do over I would have looked a little harder for one with 2 speeds so I could drive it faster on the road. It had 900 hours on it when I got it and I put 100 on it in 5 years. It's been great for farm work- I have cleared some brush with it. it will push over a 10'' hedge tree and rip the roots out of the ground. Mine has tires. I have not needed tracks but found I can buy add-on track for it that go over the tires. It does fine cleaning out manure and old hay from feed lots. I used it quite a bit - more as I get older.
I have only ever used Bobcat brand so I could not say what to stay away from. Mine has both foot and hand controls- it works great.

Just passin through

I have two Bobcat skidsteers. A 642 gas and a 743 diesel. Both are older 80's model but they work really good for me. I have a 72 inch tiller, 72 inch grapple, 72 inch snowblower, 80 inch snow pusher, pallet Forks, receiver hitch for moving trailers. That's the good thing with skidsteers you can switch out attachments in mins.

You can't go wrong buying a Bobcat.

The Bobcat S570 is what you need, but to make it more versatile, you may need attachments like the FYREBX T3, which offers solutions for various tasks, such as in construction and landscaping.

Auction prices have come down noticeably around here.
In the last few days a nice Deere tracked machine with under 2000 hours sold for 20

And an old 753 sold for under 9

If you are not paying cash, I believe kubota still offers 0 percent interest. You do have to insure the machine is what I was told.

I've had Kubota SLV and the JCB 3TS Teleskid. Definitely prefer the JCB for versatility! :-)

I only have experience with the mustangs with t bars. Cleanin hog crap. I loved them. Did a lot of wheelies. First time i did it it got out of control and i figured out why it was named mustang.

The older Mustangs ran absolute circles around the others. I have been in most of the brands mentioned for long hours. I still prefer my T stick stang. I can load a trailer with my coffee cup in my hand !

cat cat cat. ran every color and I settled on a cat 262c2. I've started a pasture clearing side biz and can assure you the power the ride the reliability is awesome in a cat. Deere is my second choice. Kubota and bobcat didn't impress me

Being able to get in & out thru a side door rather than crawling over bucket / other attachments plus boom extending 8' out and 13' up has many more advantages and versitilities than the normal skid :-)

I have a 2003 Bobcat 763, bought it 6 years ago, had 2600 hours, It was a back up machine for a concrete guy, he was going to buy another track machine, The tire machines do leave ruts, I chain mine up all the way around to push snow, I built a snow pusher box for it. and a brush fork/Rake. Once in a while there are steals at auctions on attachments, I bought a concrete bucket deal for $300 that I use for rooting out trees and stumps. There are deals at times at the auctions, but a little risky not having any history or maintenance records.
