We took our dogs out for a walk it’s been slushy out from a recent wet snow we had and living on a lake the ground has a slight pitch to it from natural drainage. Add a slight dip in the grass and mud under the slush and it’s tricky if you hit the wrong spot. She got lazy and had on the wrong shoes when the right leg went forward and the left leg ended up under her.
Slight line fracture of the left ankle but it could have been way worse she had a knee replacement I was concerned that would come apart or tear some ligaments but just the ankle. She just can’t do those cheerleading moves at 70 not that she could before but she’s getting around with a boot now and still has a walker from her knee replacements.
Tough old girl she got lucky this time.

Hope it heals fast. Mine couple years ago required surgery. No trouble at all now but it took awhile.

Been very busy the new pup was keeping on my toes now this. I’ve not finished a hot cup of coffee foe weeks now.
Knee was done a few years ago it held up well.
Snow, slush and mud and she had deck shoes on with the frost out it’s pretty slippery.

I put ice cleats on her shoes this winter but it was nice last week so she took them off. I slid close to that spot last week myself did the one arm windmill to stay on my feet. With the slush you can't see what's under the next step. She stubborn i expect she will be walking on the boot next week a tough old farm girl.
