sheet steel. $160 a ton as of Friday
Bare bright copper here is at $3.60. I was told they are holding back on the prices until the Tariffs kick in!!!!
I travel to 3 local yards. Pretty much the same. There sheet steel piles are exploding in inventory. So something is going on!!!
Every yard has its own market where to sell. Just happy to be able to sell it. I remember not to far back. Selling sheet steel for $50.00 a ton.

150$ here today for prepared scrap. Think I'm going to hole off a week or two and see happens.

Not sure what steel is going to for but copper is $4.05 for bare bright ,#1 $3.90 and #2 $3.80 . He told me if the tariffs goes in effect everything will eventually bottom out for scrap because they will eventually run out of storage space . So, you are saying the price will drop, right? I asked the guy that buys and said you think the price has gone up because of tariffs. He said he doesn't think the prices will be affected that much in the steel industry. Because we are already paying the tariffs from most of the steel coming it. I don't know for sure what the deal is buy scrap has gone up this week here.

A new added tariff on China is being floated. 25% more on Chinese products for buying Venezuelan oil.
