It's a 50 Caliber Mowery from Olney Texas, with a 32" barrel. I've searched for this firearm but just keep coming up with nothing

The only markings on the left side of the barrel is the number 2701 which is the matching number to the other parts

I don't know anything about it but I would say it is 1960's or newer based on what I am seeing.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Mowrey of Olny Texas was a muzzle loader maker form the late 50s till the early 80s when they went out of business and sold remaining inventory and parts to Deer Creek.

they were most known for their Ethan Allen precision rifle copies but it would seem they made some flinters as well

I was going to say similar, maybe a kit gun?

With the stock cracked on the right side through the lock, I sure wouldn't shoot it.

It needs a main spring, a it's missing 2 screws. I'd like to fix it before I part with it but I might have to go to a CNC shop for the spring though.

160, that crack is a fairly easy fix for a carpenter/ gunsmith. I was considering 3 micro biscuits and a waterproof wood glue

without seeing the inside , I would be thinking relive around the lock just a bit and epoxy it and stick to 30-70 gr loads

often times the wood around the lock splits because they used the screws to draw the lock in without first lining it up right.

A few of my muzzleloaders have info on the bottom of the barrel hidden by the forearm breech area

With serial #'s, it's likely post '68 GCA.
