Well, even being ill, I have not been letting moss grown on my feet. I've been in my shop most days since the doctors gave me the ok. I started this project about two weeks ago. I'm finally making my reloading bench. As usual, I am using rough cut lumber and I also have used a bunch of old cribbing taken from tractor trailers. I got a truck load a few years ago. Most of it was maple, cherry and oak.

I made the top of the table a butcher top. It's a mix of maple, oak and cherry. I'm mading a maple border around the ending that has an inlay. It is just being put on in the pic.

This is what the inlay looks like. It's oak and cherry.

The bottom is made out of maple. I did the same inlay on the lower rail, although you can't really see it very good in the pics. I also made a sort of elongated diamond on the legs. That is done in cherry. There is quite a bit of work left to go. I'll post updates as I'm going.

Way nicer than my Harbor Freight toolbox I put a wooden top on, it works but I wish I had something nice like that. Maybe if I get a new house and have more room.

That looks very nice, even under construction. It’s going to look super sweet, when finished!

I only reload shotshells at the moment. However, my Mecs will be mounted on steels plate. The steel plates will be bolted on the table, a different plate for every machine. That way, I can just switch out whatever I want to use and not have a bunch of different holes on the bench.

Looks to be a nice bench. I built one years ago and it served it purpose for many yrs. Then I purchased a old steel teacher desk at a auction and it could be one of the best reloading benches made. And it cost me 5.00 with lots of storage.

You have some real skills. Here is a detachable mounting system that can be used to turn a reloading bench to a work bench.

Looks good! You’ll want it sturdy as eff! Is it an optical illusion or is pretty low?
