mike mason trapper M Joined: Apr 2012 new york	Caught a very small beaver in a foot hold and he did not slide down the cable. I waded up to him and let the trap off and he just stay there. I don't think he weighed 10 lbs.

Nice catch and just so you can sleep tonight they are in fact protected by the same regulations as their common counterparts the Castor Canadensis. Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.
