Peep sights are great for target shooting, but I don't like them for hunting, they don't gather enough light. I found even the "ghost ring" sights to limit the light to some degree. For hunting my preference is a fiber optic front and rear for fast acquisition and best low light performance.

There's a learning curve..

But if you want to challenge your self and do it the old school way...

You'll have more fun ..with a flint lock smoothy
