I’ve been going through traps trying identify what I have. I’ve been buying #1 and #1 1/2 jump traps, some have I’ve used, but mostly because they were available. I have identified both Victor and Blake & Lamb. But I have several that the pans aren’t readable. Some have the usual round pan while others are rounded but the side towards the dog is flat or squarish . These pans have 2 holes in them, one on each side of center. Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t know how to post pictures on here. I did it years ago using photobucket but I think that avenue is no longer available.

I don’t have any other traps with similar setup. Chain is off the end of the cross frame opposite the dog. The j hook looks like a bent nail and the chain is individual links that double back on both sides around the top of the next link. Probably doesn’t help much. [Linked Image]

Definately B&L. Rather common - I have a milk crate full of the same trap. Not sure of the age, but I’m quite sure they are older then me and I’m no spring chicken.

B&L made several jump traps but none of them had holes drilled in the pans. And all those pans were round not like the one shown. Which Is squared off on the dog side,

B&L have a pan post and a bolt, victors have a humped cross the pan attaches to. After 1968 B&L were made by victor, so they’re the same minus the pan stamps

I have 2 like in the picture and use them in my barn to catch any rats that want to move in. Best barn rat trap ever! (PS: most rats are caught around the chest so I do not consider them a leg hold trap as that would be illegal in my home state!!)
