Eagleye trapper E Joined: Oct 2012 Wisconsin	The vertical load strength of a 2x4 is 1,000/lbs and 300 /lbs. on edge- if the bottom of the stand is 4' from the tree, the gussets you have will redistribute the load. I would add another (shorter) gusset set from base to ladder to reduce your fulcrum point. Looks solid
