I caught about 215 marten, 13 wolverine, 7 wolves, 28 lynx and about 10-12 foxes that got into wolf or wolverine gear. Next year I think ill mainly go after lynx. maybe Set a nice high goal like 150 and run wolf, wolverine and a few marten sets as well.

A trapper and biologist in Norman Wells figures with the exchange rate on his lynx sales and the NWT Prime Fur bonus he will average $250 Canadian on lynx (about $30USD, just kidding $175 USD or 3636 Mexican Peso).

To my knowledge it's very hard to find an area in Alaska to catch a large number of marten and a decent number of lynx. How far apart, or close, are where you catch the marten, and where you catch the lynx?

You can find areas thick with both marten and lynx MT. lots of overlap of good habitat for both. I think ill make 200 snares once spring activities are done. Prepare for a big lynx year next season.
