Have you talked to the folks at the Cambridge office? Some times special arrangements can be made. I assume you aren’t the only beaver trapper north Wisconsin.

Along the same line here. I’ll be at the pick-up this Sunday but I’ve still got traps in for another 2 weeks!

The fur I get after this weekends drop off won’t be worth much anyways. I’ll get a few beaver but it’s mostly for bear bait and next years bait. Most of my trappings done. I’d rather trap em in June & July ADC. 2nd sale is always less than the first anyways. Trap all you want and put ‘em up next winter for the first sale.

Everything goes in the freezer from now until the end of spring season.

I think there is a new Yellowstone show comming out. I hope it is a hit, maybe cowboy hats will be ppular again and hatter market will pick back up. I never watched Yellowstone, turned on the first episode and it was not about Wolves from Canada, chasing down fat lazy American elk and making Yellowstone great again so i turned it off never watched it again.
The Trump fur market is really exciting though. Together with the Trump low gas prices, Im going to trap mink and lynx next year. Our beaver seem to have died off so I dont think it will be worth while to go after beaver this year. Making Trapping Great Again

As of April 8th? Who cares, there’ll never be any tariffs anyways. Nothing coming out of your favourite prez’s mouth is true…..except China maybe. I wish him luck dealing with that…..lol

I never said he is my “favorite Prez” far from it. I’m personally a big fan of Ike!!! Remember him??

Northof50 - the heck with the goods on the June sale!!! What about all the goods from the sale 3 weeks ago???? That is all still sitting in Canada! FH is in the process of organizing shipments, several of which are headed to the US. What is going to happen when they hit the border? What will El Cheeto’s tariff policy be then. He changes his mind almost as fast as the weather changes in some northern States!!

There were several significant US buyers that were talking about not attending the March sale because of the uncertainty about tariffs. They did show up and I’m sure they are hoping they didn’t make a mistake by doing so,

Nothing is certain until those goods are safely on US soil. Just saying.

Next thing to think about is.... with a looming worldwide recession, how many folks decide a fur garment is something that they can't go on without.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

You’re right about the border. Even they don’t know what to do and they’ll decide what happens at that time. If they’re wrong, they just say it was a mistake a month later and to move on. Crossing that border either way is rolling the dice.

Trump is Making trapping great again . There is nothing to worry about. Trust the President only high fur prices and cheap gas ahead. If you not making $$ in the next 3 years it's probably because you not a very good trapper or you did not invest in enough traps.
