I really like to just sit and listen to the chickadees and squirrels in the woods.

Personally, I don't think there is a better sound on earth. It comes straight from heaven.

Spring frogs chirping here after things warm up. That’s a great spring sound to me.
Or even that first rumble of thunder after winter. Or robins chirping at sunrise. Or a flock of snows cackling overhead in early spring on their migration flights.
Turkeys gobble around here all the time. Summer, fall, winter, and spring. They are everywhere around here.
But those other sounds I noted above, to me those are true spring sounds.
I sat on my deck last night and the frogs at the nearby ditch were so loud. Very spring sound here.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Thats one sound that gets me excited more than most others. Agree with trapperkeck as well. One sound that always stops me is when the yotes start going. I can be carrying 10 bags of groceries to the house and i stop and listen when they go off.

I’ve never heard an elk bugle other than on the boob tube.
I have no doubt that it’s mighty cool and addictive. I know too many good woodsmen who love it.
A gobbling longbeard is still my weakness.
All the vocalizations of the different species of ducks are pretty amazing. Cool to know them all.
Most will think this is goofy, but the sound of a squirrel cutting a hickory nut in the treetops perks me up.
