I was thinking the same. I have a number of those single barrel 37 red letters in the gun room. I have only shot the 20 gauge a couple times on the range at nostalgic days shoots. That kicks like more than a mule. No interest in shooting the 12 gauges.

Great photos - and really great stories that follow along. Yes I agree, some older larger gauge single shots and well as some doubles are brutal.

I hunted fox with a single shot full choked 12 guage while in HS. Did not get too many but got a few each winter. Dinner table food. In modern times it is the length and number of beards and the length of the spurs. Times have changed.
