What kind of wire/fencing/hardware cloth do you guys use for making muskrat colony traps? 2x2? 1x2? 1x1?

I use 1"x2" unless I find a real good deal on something else. Garage sale or auction.

If possible get the 1x2 wire that is galvanized AFTER welding, it will last years longer.
